Final blog re: 2010’s Dracula performances from Nancy Page, Resident Choreographer
Imagine telling a story without saying a word. What a wonderful experience portraying passion, desire, undying love through dance.
After the sets, costumes, music and choreography are all all complete, what’s left is telling the story. Dracula (Tim Early) and Mina (Hannah Telthorster) had the ability to take you scene by scene, deeper and deeper into this wonderful tale of undying love.
Behind the scenes are numerous costume changes, makeup changes, hair changes; preparation of stage blood and swords, wiping up pools of stage blood left from vampire bites, practicing pirouettes, lifts, etc.
On stage, two dancers captivate the audience with their ability to make everything they were given work together as one, leaving you speechless, seemingly effortlessly.
